Please check the list below when troubles occur. Please contact us in case the trouble does not solve.

Communication to BMT Controller not possible | Encryption was activated | Activate encryption in BMT Client Software with the same password as the BMT Controller.
If the password is unknown, you can reset the encryption at the BMT Controller: Reset Encryption It is possible to reset the communication encryption at the BMT Controller. Copy an empty file with the filename “encryption.bmt.reset” to an USB stick and plug in the USB stick into the BMT Controller. The content of the file itself can be empty. This can be done while the Controller is running or also before the boot process. After the encryption is reset, the software on the BMT Controller is restarting. This process may take up to a minute. |
Communication to BMT Controller not possible | BMT Controller Network settings wrong | Reset Network
It is possible to reset the communication encryption. Copy an empty file with the filename “network.bmt.reset” to an USB stick and plug in the USB stick into the BMT Controller. The content of the file itself can be empty. This can be done while the Controller is running or also before the boot process. Communication to BMT Controller not possible | JAVA-Software blocked by firewall | Allow access to network through Firewall
The communication between Software and Controller is based on TCP/IP and UDP protocol. The software may request network access to allow the communication by firewall. This request is based on the JAVA-application and you need to allow the access to let the software communicate with the controller. |
Components do not operate | Connection failure | Please make sure the component cables at the front are properly connected and LED are lighting during oparation. |

BMT Controller is not coming up | UDP message broadcast is blocked | The switch or PC-firewall is probably blocking the UDP packages at the UDP port (default: 225.1.2.3 - 5104)
Add the board manually using by adding it with the IP address. |
BMT Controller IP-Address is unknown | No information about network available | If the BMT Controller is connected directly to the PC. Test the connection using the IP address OR the MAC-Address at the label on bottom of the controller.
It is also possible to scan in the network for the BMT Controller. Please see chapter: Connect to BMT Controller for details. |
Adding BMT Controller failure | No response from controller |
